Angie Grullon
Angie is the Perf3ct Blend’s Head Chef. She is responsible for creating and executing dishes that will tantalize the palate and leave one's soul full.
Angie is the proud mother of two amazing daughters, lover of all things food, drinks wine out of a mug more often than she cares to admit, is a voracious cookbook hoarder, a food-blogger and a self professed Harry Potter nerd . She graduated from The New York Restaurant School in 2000 with an Associates degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. From the very first time she saw her mother make sofrito in their kitchen as a child, to her first attempt at upgrading “cup o’ noodles” soup -as a teen- in Silvia’s (best friend and business partner) mother’s kitchen; Angie has loved cooking.
Angie has worked in many fields both in and out of the culinary world, but one thing was always constant, her love of cooking- for others. The only thing she wants to do is share her passion with others, make people smile and feel loved through her dishes. She truly feels that food is love made edible .
Raushanah Williams
Raushanah heads the munchies and infusion of Perf3ct Blend while assisting the head chef, Angie Grullion, with the cooking and presentation of the offerings on the dining menus.
Raushanah is an entrepreneur, counselor, comedian, actress, and a creative at heart. She holds a Master of Human Services from the first HBCU, Lincoln University, graduating Cum Laude and becoming a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Raushanah has always considered herself a "Jane" of All Trades and thus, throughout her life has worn many hats. With a love for the arts and genuine excitement for a good dish, it was only natural for Raushanah to incorporate her love of art with her love affair with food. She has decided to partner with Silvia Canales and Angie Grullon, to present a food experience that will warm the soul and excite the palate.
Silvia Canales
Silvia manages the Perf3ct Blend enterprise.
A first-generation Afro-Latina, born and bred in NYC, she was blessed with a Dominican mother who would throw down in the kitchen. Growing up, Silvia enjoyed creating opportunities to bring her friends together and found true pleasure in organizing elaborate and intimate parties for her closest friends. Silvia’s mother’s kitchen hosted many friendships and Silvia’s care nurtured those relationships.
Surrounded by the magic of food- centered celebrations, offered for well-being and presented with love, she witnessed the healing power of cuisine and community.
As an Educator and Counselor, Silvia manages and directs educational and social justice programming and events. Silvia possesses a Masters in Applied Psychology from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development.
A witness to the evolution of her best friend Angie’s culinary skills and Raushanah’s multi-talentedness, the party planner in Silvia, began to envision what would later become the Perf3ct Blend of an elegant and inviting environment with tantalizing food and elevated experiences, perfect for the soul.
